If you’re in the market for a new vehicle with a reputation for longevity, consider the Chevrolet lineup. Four of the brand’s models received deserving recognition on the most recent iSeeCars’ Longest-Lasting Cars study: the Silverado 1500, Impala, Tahoe and Suburban.
The noteworthy Silverado 1500 and Impala
The Chevrolet Silverado 1500 took fourth place for the light-duty pickup truck segment. According to the study, 2% of Silverado 1500 models met or surpassed the 200,000-mile mark. That’s higher than the average rating for pickups on the list.
The Chevrolet Impala also rated above average for longevity in the passenger car segment. Per iSeeCars, 1.6% of Impala models reached or went above the 200,000-mile mark. The average rating for the segment was just 0.7%.
The impressive Tahoe and Suburban
The SUV category is where Chevrolet really shone in the study. Both the Tahoe and Suburban placed on the list of the longest-lasting vehicles across all segment types. According to iSeeCars, 4.1% of Tahoe models and 4.9% of Suburban models achieved 200,000 miles or more on the odometer. That’s well above the 1% average for all models.
