U.S. News and World Report recently compiled a list of the 12 cars with the best infotainment systems. We’re not surprised that the publication ranked the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse infotainment system as one of its favorites.
The publication’s Steven Loveday described the 2020 Traverse as “spacious, feature-filled, and comfortable to drive.” He also compared it to the Buick Enclave, highlighting that you get the same intuitive infotainment system — that includes Android Auto™, Apple CarPlay®, and a 4G LTE Wi-Fi® hotspot — for$10,000 less when you go with the Chevy model.
Loveday was particularly fond of the Traverse model’s standard 7-inch touch-screen, which is available with bonuses like satellite radio and navigation. You can also upgrade to an 8-inch display, wireless charging station, and 10-speaker Bose® premium audio system to expand your multimedia options.
Young passengers will stay quietly engaged on long drives thanks to the available rear-seat entertainment system, which features a pair of 8-inch touch-screen displays and a set of wireless headphones. And everyone can keep their devices fully charged since every row comes with USB ports.

Since one of the most appealing features of a pickup truck is its ability to tow more than any other class of vehicle, it makes sense that you’d want one that can live up to that promise. That’s why U.S. News recently compiled a list of the 13 best trucks for towing. Unsurprisingly, both the 2020 Chevrolet Colorado and Silverado 1500 made the grade.
U.S. News editor Nick Kurczewski praised the Colorado for its diesel engine’s remarkable balance of capability and efficiency, saying, “This motor delivers not only the best towing capacity found in a compact pickup, it’s the Colorado’s most fuel-efficient motor, too.” The engine in question is a 2.8L Turbo-Diesel that offers up to 7,700 pounds while still achieving up to 30 mpg on the highway.*
Meanwhile, the 2020 Silverado 1500 leads the pack, mostly due to its best-in-class towing capacity — 13,400 pounds — and a bevy of trailering technology. With a segment-leading 15 camera views to monitor your cargo and a segment-first Advanced Trailering System, this truck more than earns its status as the king of towing.
Whether you need to tow for work or play, Chevrolet can’t be beat. To learn more about the Colorado and Silverado 1500, contact us at Sharon Chevrolet. Or better yet, stop by in person to test-drive these two trucks for yourself.
*EPA-estimated 20 MPG city/30 highway for Colorado 2WD with available 2.8L Turbo-Diesel engine. Based on segment-exclusive features. Excludes other GM models.
In-vehicle comfort is one of the most important benefits that an SUV can provide drivers, and the 2020 Chevrolet Traverse recently earned recognition for its comfortable interior. The Traverse claimed the first spot on the U.S. News & World Report’s list of the 13 Most Comfortable SUVs in 2020.
The Traverse stood above all the other SUVs on the list, thanks, in part, to its spacious cabin. Up to eight passengers can sit in the three-row SUV while your items are secure in its 23 cubic feet of cargo volume. If you have lots of items to bring on a trip, you can fold the rear rows to use 98.2 cubic feet of cargo volume.
The Smart Slide® second-row seat makes it easy for your passengers to get to third row. Plus, the available heated front seats and noise-canceling design of the cabin can keep you relaxed and at ease on drives.
The interior of the Traverse is loaded up with impressive technologies, including the Chevrolet Infotainment 3 System with Apple CarPlay®, Android Auto™ and Bluetooth® audio streaming. Wireless Charging is also available to conveniently charge your devices.

With winter weather in full swing, you may encounter icy roads on your drives. As such, it’s important to be prepared and know how to react if your vehicle slides on ice.
Ignore the instinct to brake
If your vehicle begins sliding on ice, the most important thing to do is to avoid hitting the brakes since braking can make the situation more dangerous. Instead, to slow down your vehicle, remove your foot from the accelerator entirely.
Steer with care
You may feel compelled to quickly turn the steering wheel when your vehicle starts to slide. However, doing so can cause you to spin out. You should make sure to only turn your vehicle slowly and carefully when necessary.
Steer in the right direction
It’s imperative that you gently steer your vehicle in the right direction when sliding. If your front wheels have lost traction, avoid steering or accelerating until the vehicle slows down. If your rear wheels are at fault, gain control of your vehicle by turning the wheel in the same direction that you are sliding in.
We at Sharon Chevrolet hope you stay safe when driving this winter. Stop by our service department for seasonal maintenance to ensure your vehicle is equipped to handle winter weather.

The Chevrolet Suburban is the most-driven vehicle, according to a study conducted by iSeeCars.com. This new title makes sense given that the SUV is a reliable vehicle with a comfortable cabin for families to relax in.
When looking at the sales of over 2.3 million vehicles that are each 10 years old, iSeeCars found that Chevrolet Suburban models were driven more than the average. Drivers of the Suburban clocked in an average of 14,862 miles per year. This amount is 24% higher than the average.
“The Suburban is known for its expansive cargo room while comfortably seating up to nine passengers, which makes it popular for large families as well as for fleet and livery use,” said iSeeCars CEO Phong Ly.
The Chevrolet Tahoe also made the list for most-driven vehicles and came in fifth place with an average of 14,040 miles per year, which is 17.1% above the average. In the light-duty pickup truck segment, the Silverado 1500 was driven the most. In addition, the Malibu and Impala made the list of most-driven passenger cars, ranking third and fifth respectively.

Halloween is a fun night for all, but it can also be a more dangerous time to drive since there’s an increased number of pedestrians on the streets. Here are some tips for safe driving on Halloween that you should keep in mind as the holiday approaches.
Keep your eyes on the road
You should never drive distracted, no matter the time of the year. However, this is especially true on Halloween night when children are darting through neighborhoods. It’s important to keep your eyes on the road and avoid looking at your phone or at anything else that could be distracting.
Children don’t always pay attention to their surroundings, so keep in mind that they could run onto the road unexpectedly. In case you need to quickly stop your vehicle, you should drive below the posted speed limit during trick-or-treating hours.
Make sure you’re extra cautious when pulling out of driveways. You should always check your mirrors for children behind you. If you need to pick up or drop off your children, turn on your hazards when you pull over.
We at Sharon Chevrolet hope you stay safe on the road and have a spooky Halloween. Head to our service department for any necessary maintenance before the Halloween fun begins.
According to the Cars.com list of “most American” cars, Chevrolet vehicles are considered quite American in comparison to other vehicles. Year after year, the popular Cars.com utilizes an American-Made Index to determine which new models contribute most to the U.S. economy. This year, the 2019 Corvette, 2019 Colorado and 2019 Camaro were the Chevrolet models voted “most American.”
Cars.com relies on five factors to build a comprehensive picture of a model’s economic benefit: where a vehicle’s assembly takes place, where a vehicle’s transmissions and engines are from, a vehicle’s domestic-parts content and the number of U.S. factory workers employed by the parent automaker in relation to the vehicle’s sales.
Notably, Chevrolet was the only automaker both headquartered and manufactured in the U.S. to land more than one model in the top 10 of the list. Assembled in Kentucky, the iconic Corvette was ranked fifth. The Colorado, assembled in Missouri, came in at number eight. Just shy of the top 10, the powerful Camaro is assembled in Lansing, Michigan, and ranked 11th.
We at Sharon Chevrolet are proud to offer the 2019 Chevrolet Camaro, Colorado and Corvette. Take a test drive in each impressive model at our dealership.
The 2019 Chevrolet Silverado has a host of great features and a legion of loyal fans, so it’s no surprise that Chevrolet wanted an advertisement that focuses on the truck. The Chevrolet ad campaign, “Real People, Not Actors,” shines a spotlight on the 2019 Silverado by having real drivers comment on the pickup.
The “Real People, Not Actors” ad spot begins on a dark worksite, where a host leads a group of people to the 2019 Silverado. As the group looks at the truck, the darkness makes it evident just how bright the LED bed lighting is in the Silverado Durabed, with one participating remarking that the lighting “lights up the entire bed.”
Another feature highlighted in the commercial is the Durabed itself. The Durabed is both “sturdy” and “huge,” as two participants note. As part of the Durabed, the 120-volt outlet is pointed out by the host, before a cord is plugged in, dramatically igniting a streetlamp directly above the truck.
The commercial host also announces that the 2019 Silverado 1500 offers eight trim levels, which is more than any of its competitors. On cue, other streetlamps are lit, revealing the sophistication and versatility of the trims, which stand out in the night.
We at Sharon Chevrolet are proud to have the 2019 Chevrolet Silverado on our lot. Stop by for a test drive.
